The Greche panel is a sophisticated blend of Travertine marble and Pietra Pece, featuring a modular design with interlocking bands. Its aesthetic is deeply influenced by the Geometric Style of ceramics from the 8th century BC, which originated in Athens and Magna Graecia. This style is known for its intricate black-painted decorations on vases, resembling detailed embroidery. Over time, this decorative theme expanded to other art forms, from fabrics to architecture, emphasizing rational composition, perfect symmetry, rhythmic order, and the quest for harmony through simple geometric shapes, in line with the ideals of the ancient classics.

The Greche panel’s decorative elements incorporate cylindrical forms inspired by the guttae—ornamental motifs found beneath the mutules of Doric frieze cornices. This contemporary reinterpretation of the Greche design brings the timeless pattern into the modern world, with a modular structure that allows for endless design variations, providing flexibility in how the pattern can be adapted. The design utilizes two layers of distinct stones, skillfully shaped using CNC machining to highlight the geometric pattern.
