This collection features modular tiles crafted from volcanic lava stone, distinguished by intricate three-dimensional patterns that can be arranged in countless combinations. Inspired by the memory of a small house-museum owned by a majolica collector—tucked away in an 18th-century building in the heart of Palermo—the design captures the spirit of the Mediterranean. Each “stone majolica” tile showcases the expert craftsmanship synonymous with Lithea, bringing together tradition and artistry. These rectangular, low-relief modules feature textured, geometric surfaces that evoke the fluted columns of classical architecture, the ruggedness of dry stone walls, the quarried blocks that supply Lithea’s materials, the chiselled Renaissance diamond-point ashlars, and the dramatic light-and-shadow effects characteristic of Baroque art.
